The Day 220 Report of COVID-19: Today was the 220 day of India’s Fight against
Coronavirus: ABC Research Report.
As per the Ministry of
Health and Family welfare till 9 AM of 30/10/2020, there are 594386 active cases, 7373375 COVID-19
patients have been discharged and 121090 persons lost their lives in India till
8 AM of 30/10/2020.
On the testing capacity of
India, the ICMR in its daily report on 30/10/2020 that a total of 10,77,28,088 have
been conducted in India till 9 AM of 29/10/2020. Further, the ICMR reported
that 11,64,648 new samples were taken during the last 24 hours.

- The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers stated that HIL (India) Ltd
a PSU under the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals,
Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers has recorded significant growth in
exports in the first two quarters of the current financial year (FY
2020-21). The company has said that it has recorded a growth of 65% growth in
Exports during April- September 2020 period as compared to the
corresponding period last financial year.
- The
Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution stated that Food Cooperation of India and state agencies are
all set to procure a record quantity of 742 LMT paddy during the ongoing
Kharif crop season as against 627 LMT paddy last year. The number of
purchase centers for Kharif 2020-21 have also been increased from 30,709 to
39,122. Stating this at a media interaction, Mr. Piyush Goyal, Minister of
Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public distribution also said that the
procurement season had been advanced to 26/09/2020 in view of the early arrival
of paddy in the market.
