New Delhi (ABC Live India): The Day 260 Report of COVID-19: Today
was the 260 day of India’s Fight against Coronavirus: ABC Research Report.
As per the Ministry of Health and
Family welfare till 8 AM of 09/12/2020, there are 378909 active cases, 9215581
COVID-19 patients have been discharged and 141360 persons lost their lives in
India till 8 AM of 09/12/2020.
On the testing capacity of India, the
ICMR in its daily report on 09/12/2020 that a total of 14,98,36,767 have been
conducted in India till 9 AM of 08/12/2020. Further, the ICMR reported that 10,22,712
new samples were taken during the last 24 hours.

- The Prime Minister's Office stated
that The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi,
has given its approval for Atmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana (ABRY) to
boost employment in the formal sector and incentivize the creation of new
employment opportunities during the Covid recovery phase under Atmanirbhar
Bharat Package 3.0.

- The RBI invited public Comments on the Draft Circular on Declaration of Dividend by NBFCs by December 24,
2020.
- The RBI Announced
that RTGS 24x7x365 will be launched with effect from 00:30 hours on
December 14, 2020. India will become one of the few countries in the world
to operate its RTGS system round the clock throughout the year. This comes
within a year of operationalizing NEFT 24x7 by the Reserve Bank.
