Delhi (ABC Live India): The Day 261 Report of COVID-19: Today was the 261 day
of India’s Fight against Coronavirus: ABC Research Report.
As
per the Ministry of Health and Family welfare till 8 AM of 10/12/2020, there
are 372293 active cases, 9253306 COVID-19 patients have been discharged
and 141772 persons lost their lives in India till 8 AM of 10/12/2020.
On
the testing capacity of India, the ICMR in its daily report on 10/12/2020 that
a total of 15,07,59,726 have been conducted in India till 9 AM of 09/12/2020.
Further, the ICMR reported that 9,22,959 new samples were taken during the last
24 hours.

on COVID-19
- The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
stated
that Dr. Harsh
Vardhan, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare digitally addressed
the Inter-Ministerial meeting on Vaccination of South Asia against
COVID-19 by the World Bank, here today through Video Conference, wherein
he stated that “India’s world-class research institutes have spearheaded
the campaign against COVID-19 and are currently working towards
facilitating capacity building for producing, distributing &
administering the vaccine. 260 vaccine candidates are in different stages
of development globally. Out of these, 8 are scheduled to be manufactured
in India, including 3 indigenous ones. We have enthusiastically leveraged
the support of international partners like Oxford University, UK, and
Thomas Jefferson University, USA, for vaccine research with Indian
entities, both public and private.”
